A Place to Grow Too, LLC is operated by Cheryl Ouellette. She is a mother of four grown children and enjoys her four grandchildren very much. Family life never slowed Cheryl down. She was always able to balance her professional and her personal life. Cheryl's true entrepreneurial spirit has enveloped strong family values, an adept educational philosophy, and unsurpassed professionalism into positive and safe learning environments for children and staff, while leading the administrative team in the main office. Cheryl continues to pilot innovative centers that will forever make a difference in many children’s lives. Some of Cheryl's favorite things to do are walking their dog Roxy on the beach, family picnics, HGTV and the company of good friends!
Rick Ouellette is the Maintenance Coordinator of A Place To Grow Too. Rick tends each location regularly to ensure the safety and comfort of each family, child and staff member. Rick also does compelling work in regards to security and appearance of the centers, while maintaining all regulations required by the company and the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health. Rick continues to place the safety of our “family” in high regard. The children love to high five Mr Rick during a visit and the Directors and staff know they can count on him when they need something fixed! Occasionally, like our children would, they will roll their eyes about his suggestions on organization in the class room..but he often leaves them laughing. Rick enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing his drums, scary movies, the beach...and occasionally HGTV, cause Momma says so lol
Susan Schneider has worked and grown within the A Place To Grow Company since 2007. As Regional Director, Susan has spent time at all three of our locations, working alongside our program directors and staff to assist and ensure each center creates a safe a safe, educational, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in our care. Susan develops and maintains a strong relationship with the families and their children within all of our centers. She is devoted to the well-being of everyone at any center she is spending time at. She promotes and encourages our program Directors to encourage parent involvement and establish a sense of trust and security, so parents are comfortable at work knowing their child is in a nurturing environment.
Susan has been in the Early Childhood Field for 12 years working hands on. Susan is also, a mother of two beautiful girls, which both attend at A Place To Grow. Susan really believes the first 3 years of life are the most crucial to a child’s development. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and holds a Headteacher Certificate issued by the Office of Early Childhood. Susan believes there is nothing greater than having the opportunity to impact a child’s life and watching them grow. She would like to thank all of our families for entrusting A Place to Grow as a provider and mentor for their children’s early care needs!
